Hooman Sherafat is an ophthalmologist with a special interest in oculoplastic (also known as Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive, Oculofacial or Eye Plastic Surgery, a surgical subspecialty of Ophthalmology that deals with aesthetic, medical and surgical management of deformities and abnormalities of the eyelids) surgery.

He graduated from St Georges Hospital Medical School, London, in 1992. Following his general ophthalmic training in London, he completed subspecialty training in oculoplastic surgery in the world-renowned Moorfields Eye hospital.

He is currently a Consultant ophthalmic and oculoplastic surgeon at the Royal Eye Unit at Kingston Hospital NHS Trust. Mr Sherafat's expertise lies in all aspects of eyelid surgery including aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery, only relating to the eyelids.
He is a member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists of England and the British Oculoplastic Surgery Society (BOPSS).
